WARNING
The automatic-on headlamp feature provides increased
visibility of the rider to other motorists. Be sure headlamp is
on at all times. Poor visibility of rider to other motorists can
result in death or serious injury.
The ignition/headlamp key switch controls the distribution of
power to the ignition and lamps.
The key can be removed when the key switch is in the OFF,
LOCK or PARKING LAMP position. The key cannot be removed
while in the ON position.
The headlamps illuminate when the ignition/headlamp key
switch is ON. The tail lamp and running lamps are lit when
the ignition/headlamp key switch is in the ON or PARKING
LAMP position.
NOTES
•
If you leave the key in the ON or PARKING LAMP
position for an extended length of time while parked, the
lamps will eventually discharge the battery.
Record your key number in the space provided at the
front of this Owner’s Manual. The key number is pressed on a
plastic tab that comes with the keys.
