If the update procedure is not successful and a control panel lockout occurs, please contact the Eaton technical support
representative to carry out a recovery procedure.
The information and settings available through the user interface are also relevant for maintenance and diagnostics. Due
to continuous improvement it is possible that changes will be implemented in the future.
The inverter restarts automatically once the update is complete.
Before starting the update procedure, make sure that the ON/OFF switch is in the “0” position and that the inverter is in
STAND-BY mode.
Make sure you have connected an external USB memory stick where the “ xStorage Home 3P “ update file has been
uploaded. The external USB memory stick must be large enough and must have at least 128 Mb of free space.

Perform the update procedure following the instructions displayed on the front panel. It is mandatory to install and
maintain units with the latest system update or the guarantee conditions can be voided.
WARNING - Do not power-off (AC and DC) the system during the update procedure.
We recommend that the update procedure is only carried out when the system is on and there is enough energy
produced by the solar PV panels (at least 1 kW). A power supply outage during the update procedure could affect the
correct operation of the system and relieves the manufacturer from all liabilities, as well as void product guarantee.
WARNING - Do not remove the external USB memory stick during the update procedure.
Removal of the external USB memory stick during the update could affect the correct operation of the system, relieves
the manufacturer from all liabilities as well as invalidates the warranty.
Make sure that the external USB memory stick has been recognized by the system: the USB icon is shown in the status
bar of the display.
The firmware of the xStorage Home 3P inverter can be updated using an external USB memory stick which must be
connected to the USB port available on the display panel.
6.8 System update
During the update procedure the xStorage Home 3P enters into safety mode and interrupts its functions for the entire
duration of the procedure (a few minutes).
