The system shall be installed in accordance with local electrical, building, fire and other codes or utility
requirements as applicable to the installation and equipment, by qualified service personnel in accordance with
the installation instructions and appropriate practices.
Upon Arrival:
•
Inspect outer surface for shipping damages.
•
Unit shall only be lifted via Forklift points located on front, rear, and sides of unit.
•
Crane may be used to locate unit onto concrete pad ONLY if sling system is implemented on forklift
points.
Eyelets are provided on the roof of the cabinet for use during manufacture of the equipment.
The eyelets are
not rated to lift the cabinet once it has been populated with equipment.
Once populated with equipment,
the cabinet must be lifted using the forklift openings near the bottom of the cabinet.

The Eaton xStorage 400 is heavy (see
). If unpacking and unloading instructions are not closely followed,
the cabinet may tip and cause serious injury.
•
Do not tilt the cabinet more than 10° from vertical.
•
Lift the cabinet with a forklift or a crane.
•
Crane may be used to locate unit onto the concrete pad
ONLY if a sling system is implemented on
forklift points.
To prevent damage to the xStorage 400 base when lifting or moving the cabinet:
•
Verify that the forklift forks are in a horizontal position before inserting them into the forklift slots.
•
DO NOT angle fork tips upward.
•
Insert the forks all the way through the base. DO NOT insert forks partially into the base to move the
cabinet.
•
Forks may be partially inserted into the front or rear forklift slots for minor positioning if the forks are kept
in a horizontal position with no upward angling.
To move the xStorage 400 and mechanically install on the concrete pad:
1.
Inspect the concrete pad location, taking note of the power conduit location and the anchor points.
