WARNING
(1) Only qualified electrical personnel should be permit-
ted to work on the equipment.
(2) Always de-energize primary and secondary circuits
if a circuit breaker cannot be removed to a safe work
location.
(3) Drawout circuit breakers should be levered (racked)
out to the DISCONNECT position.
(4) All circuit breakers should be switched to the OFF
position and mechanism springs discharged.
Failure to follow these steps for all procedures described
in this instruction leaflet could result in death, bodily
injury, or property damage.
Section 1: General information
The cassette cell switch is a drawout type circuit breaker’s
cell switch. Each switch consists of four SPDT switches and
is operated by a common actuator. The wiring diagram is
shown in Figure 1. When the circuit breaker is fully leveled
out, the cell switch is not triggered. When the circuit breaker
is leveled into the cassette, the cell switch changes its sta-
tus. The cell switch can be placed in one to three positions
to display three states of the circuit breaker (D, T, C). As
the circuit breaker enters the cassette’s positions, the cell
switches will be triggered one by one, as shown in Figure 1.

Section 2: Installation of IZM9 cassette cell switch
Proceed with the following 5 steps to install the cassette cell
switch:
Step1: Install three sets of cell switches, with 12 wire output
marked for each set. The switch is used to mark the position
(C, T or D), subject to the number of switches used to mark
the corresponding labels and positions used. Don’t consider
using the switches without a label.

It is not necessary for all switches to be in contact,
but they can be rotated to the left into a coil. If more
than 4 SPDTs are used, the customer is required to
provide an auxiliary terminal block.
Step 2: Fold the washer to 90 degrees along the folding line,
attach it between the outside of the cassette side plate and
the bracket using four tapping screws (M6x10). The right-
side plate is installed as shown. Install the left-side plate
symmetrically.
Step 3: Slide the lock catch to the upper end (open) position.
Insert the switch into the corresponding position, and slide
it forward to install it on the side plate of the cassette. Slide
the lock catch to make it seat in the locked position.
