Sizing & Layout Instructions

 1 Select PRC100 Smart Chassis from 

Table 1 Note: Smart

Chassis is always located   at  the bottom of the panel-
board chassis immediately below the bottom breaker.

 2 Select PRC100 Extension Chassis if  necessary from Table 1.

Note: Extension Chassis is always located below Smart
Chassis in panel.

 3 Select Main Device

 4 Select Appropriate Neutral

 5 Select addition branch circuit breakers as  necessary.

Note: Smart Chassis is  complete with 18 pole spaces.

 6 Calculate total “X” spaces required for panelboard by adding

required space for Smart Chassis, Main Device, Neutral,
Additional Branch Devices, and Extension Chassis if
necessary.

 7 Select appropriate box from necessary calculated size.

Cabinet & Trim Selection

Trims/deadfronts are code gage steel, ANSI 61 finish.  Boxes
are code gage galvanized steel without knockouts.

 • 

Standard size is 20-inches wide x 5.75-inches deep

 • 

Optional size is 28-inches wide x 5.75-inches deep.

 • 

Top & bottom gutters 6.375-inches minimum

 • 

Side Gutters: 4-inches minimum on 20-inch  wide box size,

and 8-inches minimum on 28-inch wide box size.

1. All “F” frame branch breakers must be mounted above (top) on any controllable breaker
    on chassis.
2. ED, EDH, EDC branch mounted breakers may be mounted with load lugs on either left
    or right.  Specify on order.
3. All add on controllable branch circuit breakers must be located adjacent to smart
    chassis poles.
4. Controllable circuit breakers can be intermixed with their non controllable counterparts
    (e.g. GHB with GHQRS & GHBS).
5. Top mounted main only.
