General

Pow-R-Command 100 System

The Pow-R-Command 100 system is a
complete network of devices, which allow a
facility’s electrical use to be efficiently
managed.  With the Pow-R-Command 100,
individual loads can be switched through a
network of individual panels, which are
influenced by Building Automation Systems,
wall switches, time schedules, software, or
through telephone commands, etc.  See

Applications For Pow-R-Command
100 Systems

The Pow-R-Command 100 system is
primarily designed for larger facilities where
multiple nodes need to be networked
together and controlled through software.
However, Pow-R-command 100 can also be
scaled down to the needs of some smaller
facilities while offering the same functions as
a large networked system.  The Pow-R-
Command 100 system provides an easy
manner to efficiently control electrical loads
while maintaining a compact design.  In
addition, the Pow-R-Command 100 system
can be seamlessly integrated into Building
Automation Systems, Security Systems, and
Fire/Emergency Systems.

General Description of Assembly
Types

Despite all of the capabilities offered by the
Pow-R-Command 100 controller, the system
would not have a great deal of use without
enclosures.  Currently, there are five general
type  of enclosures used in the Pow-R-
Command 100 system.  These enclosures
are :

Switchboards

One controller used in all of these structures
is the Pow-R-Command 100 Universal
Systems Controller (USC).  As a USC will
more then likely be included when one of
these structures is purchased, the USC will
be covered in this document.

Internal Controller - Universal System
Controller

In each Pow-R-Command 100 Panelboard,
Relay Cabinet, and Column Type Panel is a
controller called a Universal System
Controller (USC).  The USC is an addressed
controller on the Pow-R-Command 100
network and controls the switching of both
Smart Breakers or Relays.  To aid in the
command capability of the USC, it is
equipped with a number inputs & outputs and
has an internal processor and memory for
programmed functions.  In addition, it is the
function of the USC to receive and act on
control commands sent by other nodes on the
network including commands sent by a user
through software.

In the Pow-R-Command 100 Panelboard and
Column Type Panel, the USC is located in a
white chassis.
