Unitary Modem Interface
The Unitary Modem Interface is a Pow-R-
Command 100 Network Access Device that
can be mounted to the Relay Termination
Adaptor Board. The Unitary Modem
Interface allows a device such as a
computer or modem, which operate on a
RS-232 protocol, to interface with the Pow-
R-Command 100 system, which operates on
RS-485. For more information on the
Unitary Modem Interface as well as other

Pow-R-Command 100 Control
Cabinet
The Pow-R-Command 100 Control Cabinet is
used to mount Pow-R-Command 100
controllers such as a Switch Override
Controller separate from a Pow-R-Command
Panelboard, Column Type Panel, or Relay
Cabinet. In most circumstances, the Pow-R-
Command 100 control cabinet is used to
mount a Switch Override Controller, or to
retrofit the Pow-R-Command 100 system into
a facility.

Standard Control Cabinet Features
The Pow-R-Command 100 Control Cabinet is
sold complete with all of the standard
components of the Pow-R-Command 100
Relay Cabinet with the exception of the USC.
In addition, the Pow-R-Command 100 Control
Cabinet may not house relays.
Optional Control Cabinet Components
All optional components that can be placed in
a Pow-R-Command 100 Relay Cabinet can
be used in a Pow-R-Command 100 Control
Cabinet.
Connection to Switching Devices
The Pow-R-Command 100 Control Cabinet
can control up to 48 switching devices (e.g.
Smart Breaker or relay). Located along the
Relay Termination Board in the Pow-R-
Command 100 Control Cabinet are 48
connection points. In a Pow-R-Command
100 Relay Cabinet these points are used to
connect relays. However, because no
switching devices can directly installed in the
Pow-R-Command 100 control cabinet, control
voltage must be sent from the cabinet to
switching devices located in other structures.
To do this a pigtail is used. One end of the
pigtail is connected to the Relay Termination
Board, and the other to a switching device.
The maximum distance of a pigtail, from the
Pow-R-Command 100 Control Cabinet to the
switching device it is attached to is
50-feet
.
