How to Install the Companion Flange or Yoke

Typical service tools

Procedure -

Install the yoke or flange on the input shaft and install the
washer and elastic stop nut on the threads of the input shaft.

On units not equipped with a speedometer drive gear, install
the spacer on the output shaft and in the rear bearing hous-
ing.

Install the yoke or flange on the output shaft and install the
washer and elastic stop nut on the threads of the shaft.
