Use
CAUTION!
• Always wear appropriate eye protection, hearing protection and breath-
ing protection when working with this device.
• Danger of injury! Keep your hands and other body parts a suf
fi
cient distance away
from the tool attachment while it is in operation. Wait until it has come to a complete
standstill before you touch it.
• The tool attachments become hot when they are used. Allow a tool attachment to
cool down
fi
rst before you touch it.
• To ensure that the device does not slip away from you, always cut in a clockwise
direction. An exception to this is drywalls/plasterboards, which should be cut in the
anticlockwise direction.
• Keep the ventilation slots (g) and other openings on the device clean at all times. Dust,
cuttings and other particles that get into the device could cause damage to the device.
Clean the openings with a vacuum cleaner or with compressed air if necessary.
Setting the Cutting Depth on the Edge Trimming Unit
CAUTION!
• Always disconnect the device from the mains power before you set the cutting depth.
• There is a danger of injury from the cutter that is
fi
tted. You should therefore exercise
particular caution.
1. To change the cutting depth, i.e. the height of the edge
trimming unit (4), undo the height-adjusting screw (h) until
the edge trimming unit can be moved easily, but still re-
mains in position.
2. Set the height you want and then tighten the height-ad-
justing screw again.
Switching On and Off
CAUTION!
• Only ever connect the device to a properly installed plug socket. The plug socket
must also be readily accessible after connection. The mains voltage must match the
voltage indicated on the rating plate of the device.
• Make sure that all accessories are correctly attached to the device. The attachment
which is
fi
tted must sit securely in the collet and must not touch the workpiece or
any other object.
• Connect the mains plug to an easily accessible plug sock-
et. Switch on the motor by sliding the On/Off switch (b) in
the direction of the arrow (away from the housing).
• To switch it off, slide the On/Off switch back again.
