3.1 EMPTYING DRAINABLE POUCHES
Peel both hook tabs off the velcro strip (3.a). Unfold the outlet in the
position where you want to empty the pouch. Hold the bottom of the
outlet with one hand and pull upwards on the opening tab to make a
larger opening for emptying (3.b). Allow contents to drain into the toilet.
Clean the outlet in one sweeping movement away from your body.
To close: fold the outlet back up and secure by attaching the two hook
tabs onto the velcro strip. Tuck the velcro strip up under the split at the
bottom of the pouch fabric and attach to the velcro dot for added
comfort and discretion (3.c). (Tuck-up option only available on bags
with fabric on ‘non-body’ side).
3.2 EMPTYING UROSTOMY POUCHES
Pull the bung closure out of the bung to allow emptying.
To control the flow of urine from the bung, simply squeeze. To close,
re-insert the bung closure.
4. REMOVAL
Gently remove the pouch by peeling the baseplate downwards and
away from the skin. Apply light pressure to your skin with your free hand
to aid removal (4.a).
5. DISPOSAL
Dispose of waste product in accordance with local guidelines. Do not
flush the product down the toilet.
