The Odyssey 200 comes with 128MB of internal
storage which can hold up to 8.5 hours of voice
recordings. When you have music files on your
player, less memory is available for voice files.
Voice files are stored to the players internal
memory, that is, you cannot record to the SMC.
However, using the Odyssey Manager you can
move the file to the SMC after the recording is
complete.
If the
FULL
message displays during recording, you
must stop your recording and
Erase Files from
Player
to free up storage.
To create a voice recording on the player:
1.
If you are currently listening to music, press the
button to stop the player.
2.
Press the
MODE
button until the player is in
Record Mode
indicated by the icon.
3.
To begin recording, press the Record but-
ton. You will notice the LCD changes to show
the recording progress including an active timer
in the lower right of the display.
4.
Speak clearly and keep an adequate distance
from the internal microphone
located at
the top of the player.
5.
To end recording, press the Record button
again.
The recorded file is stored and displayed as a
sequentially numbered file, for example,
VOICE001.WAV, VOICE002.WAV, etc.
