8.11.3 Servicing the V-belt

1. Park the machine safely

Chapter 6.4 ‘Parking the machine
in secured condition’ on page 63 .
2. Allow the engine to cool down.
3. Unscrew the V-belt guard (1).
4. Check condition and tension of V-belt.
ð
Compression measurement: 10 - 25 mm (0.4 - 1.0 in).

The V-belt cannot be re-tightened.
Replace the V-belt if it is damaged or if the compression
measurement is exceeded Ä Chapter 8.9.1 ‘Replacing the V-
belt’ on page 83 .
6. Fasten the V-belt guard (1).
