Maintenance Schedule

1 Bolted Connections
All bolted connections of the machine should be
checked after the first 3 to 5 hours of operation and
retightened if necessary and thereafter at regular
intervals. It is suggested that this is done every 500
hectares or annually, whichever occurs first.
2 Pivot Pins & Ram Clevis
Pivots must be greased regularly (weekly or after every
75Ha) to provide lubrication and flush out any dirt.
3 Framework
The framework structure should be inspected annually
for defects, i.e., cracks in members or welded
connections. The framework should be cleaned prior to
the inspection.
4 Metering Units
Ensure that the metering units are clean and that the
rubber sealing lip is not damaged. The sealing lip
is located along the base of the trap door hinge. A
damaged sealing lip can cause seed delivery problems.
