A patient at this station uses a call cord or pillow speaker to place a normal or emer-
gency call to the master station. Calls are indicated at the master station and at the
duty stations, and at the associated corridor and zone lights. The enhanced 4A3182 al-
lows use of the ProCare 2000 System’s reminder and programmed emergency
features. A front panel multi-pin receptacle allows this patient station to be used with
call cords or with pillow speakers that control TV functions. While the pillow speaker
is unplugged, two-way communication automatically reverts to the station
speaker/microphone.
1
Speaker/Microphone
The speaker/microphone allows two-way voice communication between a per-
son in the room and the attendant at the associated master station when a
pillow speaker is not used. Hands-free operation provides direct interactive
communication through the station panel.
2
Entertainment Option Receptacle
This multi-pin connector accommodates all standard Dukane call cords and
allows the use of a pillow speaker. Using the pillow speaker the patient can
place a call to the associated master station and control TV functions. When a
pillow speaker is installed, intercommunication takes place through the pillow
speaker, and entertainment audio is muted.
Unplugging the call device from the receptacle automatically places an emer-
gency priority call that can only be canceled by reinserting the call device and
pressing the CANCEL touchpad.
3
Amber Call Assurance LED
The amber LED lights each time a call is placed from this station and remains
lit until the call is answered from the master station or canceled at this patient
station. Call priority is indicated by either a steady illumination of the amber
LED for normal calls or a rapidly flashing LED for emergency calls. The LED
flashes slowly if the station is placed on reminder.
