4. CONFIGURATION OF THE RECEIVER
Configuration of the receiver is made by appropriate setting of jumpers OUT - receiver operation mode and HORN - setting of
the response option to a continuous signal.
4.1. Setting the operating mode
The receiver can work in one of two modes. The first one is monostable mode 1s, where the sound signal starts the channel in
monostable mode 1s. Setting the operating mode to monostable 1s - jumper in 1S position.
The second type is the latch mode. The OUT output remains active until the reset by the reset button. Setting the latch type
operation mode - jumper in SW position.
Information on triggering the OUT output is signaled by the status diode. In standby mode, the status LED blinks. At the
moment of switching the output on, depending on the set operating mode of the receiver, the diode:
ź
lights up for 1 second
, then goes into standby mode (
OUT 1S
mode),
ź
lights up permanently
. Switching to standby takes place after resetting the trigger signal with the reset button (
OUT
latch
mode).
4.2. Setting the receiver in the continuous signal response mode
The receiver has an option of setting the reaction not only to the signal of privileged vehicles but also the continuous HORN
type signal. The receiver will react to a continuous signal lasting minimum 8 seconds.
At the factory settings, the receiver has turned off the option of reacting to a continuous signal - the HORN jumper is in the OFF
position. To set the response to a continuous signal, set the HORN jumper to the ON position.
5.TESTS
It is necessary to carry out tests to determine if the microphone is correctly positioned and whether the receiver will work
properly. It is recommended to carry out tests using a continuous signal, setting the HORN jumper in the ON position. Set the
signal source sequentially on both sides of the barrier and activate the beep. If the automation to which PERFECT-SOS is
connected has enabled the passage, you can end the tests.
Despite the use of advanced signal detection algorithms, due to the lack of official standards defining the parameters of audio
signals installed in privileged vehicles, the manufacturer does not guarantee the correct detection of the signal from each
privileged vehicle.
