VoIP Profile
1815: DTMF
1815-01: DTMF Type [System: > VoIP: > Profile (1-4): > Payload Types (1815): > DTMF Type]
DTMF Type sets the delivery method for DTMF for all SIP devices using the profile. There are three options:
•
Relay (RFC 2833)
: DTMF is relayed out-of-band (i.e., outside the audio stream) inside specially marked
events in RTP packets. The packet contains details on the tone type, the tone gain, and the tone duration.
• In-band : DTMF tones are delivered within the audio stream.
• SIP Info : DTMF is relayed out-of-band using the SIP protocol (SIP INFO packets) and is independent of RTP
or the audio stream.
