Connecting an External DC Power Supply

Introduction
Introduction
An external dc source of power can be connected to the 61000 for normal operation.
This may be required where ac power is not available or operation from the internal
battery may extend past the batteries capability.
An external stand-alone +12Vdc power supply of at least 5 amps capacity may be used.
Connection is made to the input power connector through an optional dc cable
assembly.
WARNING
Physical injury or damage to the instrument could result from incorrect
connections. Always observe correct polarity. Make connections to the 61000 first
and then make connections to the external dc power source.

incorrectas. Siempre observe la polaridad correcta. Efectúe primero las
conexiones al 61000 y luego haga las conexiones a la fuente de energía de corriente
continua externa.

Fuses
Internal 12V dc circuitry is protected by resettable fuses mounted on the internal power
supply. These fuses will operate when an excessive external 12V voltage is applied or
when a fault condition within the internal circuit is experienced. To reset the fuse, turn
power off to the 61000, disconnect the 12V power cord, wait 5 seconds, then reconnect.
