Note:
Removing the flame detector for maintenance purposes does
not require the tilt mount to be removed.
5.1
Maintenance table
It is recommended that maintenance operations are recorded in a
logbook. The record should include the following:
Installation date, and contractor performing the installation
Serial and tag no.
Entries for every maintenance operation performed, including the
description of the operation, date, and personnel ID.
If a unit is sent to Dräger for service, a copy of the logbook should
accompany it.
5.2
Cleaning
To clean the detector window and reflector:
1. Disconnect power from the flame detector.
2. Use water and detergent, and then rinse the detector housing with
clean water and a damp cloth. Do not use a brush or sharp tools.
3. Where dust, dirt or moisture accumulates on the detector window,
first clean with a soft optical cloth and detergent only, and then
rinse with clean water.
5.3
Maintenance work
1. Disconnect or disable external devices, such as automatic extin-
guishing systems.
2. Check correct function of the flame detector (see chapter 3.3.9 on

In this case, send the flame detector to Dräger for repairs.
