Using either the RS-485 interface or the HART protocol, you can
reprogram the following parameters:
Alarm delay
Address setup
Mode of operation
Heat mode
To change the configuration parameters the following accessories are
required:
Dräger Flame USB RS-485 Kit and corresponding manual:
The harness kit with RS-485/USB converter, used with the host
software, enables you to connect to any available PC or laptop to
reconfigure settings or perform diagnostics on all Dräger
Flame 2xx0 detectors.
Possible alarm delay settings
The flame detector is equipped with an alarm delay option. It can be
set to one of the following options:
Antiflare (A)
The antiflare mode is selected to prevent false alarms in locations
where fast flares may be present. The time delay for fire alarms in
this mode is calculated by the detector software and ranges from
2.5 to 15 seconds (usually less than 10 seconds).
or
0, 3, 5, 10, 15, 20 or 30 seconds
When an alarm threshold condition occurs, the flame detector delays
the execution of the alarm outputs by the specified period of time. The
flame detector then evaluates the condition for 3 seconds. If the alarm
threshold condition is still present, the alarm outputs are activated. If
the alarm threshold condition no longer exists, the flame detector
returns to its standby state.
The alarm delay option affects alarm relay, fault relay, and 0-20 mA
output. The status LED and outputs indicate warnings during the delay
time. When the delay time has passed, status LED and outputs
indicate the alarm.
Possible address setups
A system with up to 247 addresses can be configured.
