Preliminary operations
7.1
Mounting the cylinder
Before installation, ensure that the cylinder is fully charged with breathable air
according to EN12021 bearing in mind that the oxygen content must be 21+1
%vol.
Ensure that the contact sealing surfaces between the cylinder valve and
pressure reducer are sound, clean, and that the o-ring is present in his seat
and intact, otherwise replace it.
For models DIABLO INDUSTRIAL, DIABLO ADVANCED, DIABLO PROFESSIONAL
and DIABLO PIZ, place the backpack on a flat surface, loosen the locking band of
the gas cylinder and slip in the cylinder itself. For models DIABLO PI, after
loosening the strap closure, fit the cylinder inside the carrying bag with the valve
upwards. On these models, when coupling the pressure reducer unit to the
cylinder, take care to orient the pressure gauge to the operator and that the
demand valve medium pressure hose may come to the mask without too sharp
curves.
Connect the pressure reducer to the cylinder screwing the connector and hand
tighten the threaded ring, as shown in figure 8. Do not use of tools.
In models DIABLO PI carefully orientate the pressure reducer assembly in order
to place the pressure gauge dial towards the wearer and allow the medium
pressure hose to get to the mask with no accentuated bending. In models DIABLO
INDUSTRIAL, DIABLO ADVANCED, DIABLO PROFESSIONAL place the rubber collar-
locking knob on the cylinder valve.
Try closing the buckle of the cylinder locking band with moderate effort. If the
band is too tight or too loose adjust it and repeat the operation. If you need to
reenter the band through the buckle, follow the arrows or numbers on the buckle,
follow the sequence of steps shown in figures 9, 10, 11 and 12. Tighten the
