Cylinder valve with axial handwheel
It is also available a model of valve with handwheel axial with respect to the
cylinder and oriented downwards for those who consider more convenient this
configuration.
6.5
Second connection kit
The apparatus of DIABLO series are available in three additional configurations
that allow the user to use a secondary source of outside air, to feed a second user,
or both options.
We describe in detail below the three configurations:
6.5.1
Feed of a second supply (models DIABLO INDUSTRIAL, DIABLO
ADVANCED, DIABLO PROFESSIONAL only)
In this configuration, the apparatus can deliver air from the cylinder to a second
device via an additional mask or a half mask of emergency. The masks
manufactured by D.P.I. s.r.l. with which the device has been tested and therefore
those that are recommended, are shown in the table in paragraph 5.4, or can be
used the special emergency kit with half mask complete with negative pressure
demand valve (code 4343.0060).
Note:
the use of masks and demand valves other than those recommended has
not been tested therefore D.P.I. s.r.l. accepts no responsibility for the proper
compatibility.
The constructive solution is very simple and reliable, and is constituted by a "T"
that intercepts the medium pressure along the hose that carries air to the demand
valve. This configuration provides for the possibility of feeding a half-mask or an
emergency tool that taps up to a maximum of 110 l/min continuous flow. For the
engagement of a tool is necessary to verify the compatibility of the connection
with that of the medium pressure hose of the second user itself. The quick males
with which to end the medium pressure hose to be connected to the second user,
are available from D.P.I. s.r.l. and can be identified by the following codes:
Male quick coupling with hose connection
code 4200.0610
Male quick coupling with thread connection
G1/4 code 4200.0600
Figure 6 shows, in its left side, the quick coupling, in which to insert the
corresponding coupling of the second user to be supplied, which is depicted in
turn in the right side of the image.
Important note
: the air consumption mentioned in this manual, to which this
document refers directly, only refer to the main operator. The total air
consumption must therefore be estimated by considering the second user or the
person to be rescued if the device is used as a means of rescue. The total air
consumption is equal to the sum of the partial consumptions of the main user and
the second user.
Caution:
with the use of a second user the autonomy of the device is therefore
shorter than that stated in the abovementioned manual. Given the difficulty in
