DAILY INSPECTION
Visually inspect the dispensing equipment for excessively
worn, abused, mistreated or leaking equipment or damage
to the spout shear groove. Replace equipment immediately.
(See Figure 26)
Visually inspect hand insulators, hose tag and warning
labels. If illegible or excessively worn or abused, replace.
MONTHLY INSPECTIONS
Inspect the nozzle spout for wear and deformation. Spout
tip diameter should be less than .840 inches for unleaded
fuel. Replace the spout assembly as necessary.
If the nozzle spout is bent, the shut-off hole is blocked,
or the end of the spout is rolled over, the nozzle spout or
the entire nozzle should be replaced immediately. Failure
to replace the spout may result in a hazardous spill.

Replace spout if tip is worn. Do not cut off spout tip.
This will lead to nuisance shut offs, or non-shut off,
which could lead to a hazardous spill and/or injury or
death.

If required for the system, inspect the collection device
(if one is supplied with the nozzle) for cuts and tears.
Replace if one-third of the circumference of the
collection device is torn or missing.
Inspect nozzle for evidence of leakage; confirm that
nozzle is leaking, and replace nozzle if necessary.
Verify that there is a minimum flow rate of 3 GPM.
See testing instructions.

Check for broken trigger springs and replace nozzle if
necessary.

Perform shut-off test. See testing instructions.
(Reference page 7).
All maintenance and inspection activity on the nozzle
must be documented.

This includes
replacement parts, drive-off or other testing.
ANNUAL INSPECTIONS
Verify that the spout retaining screws (12VW and 14VI
only) are present and tight. Tighten if necessary.
(See Figure 34)
Verify that the spout nut (11VA series only) is tight.
Tighten if neccessary.
Lubricate with a few drops of oil where the main
valve stem extends through the nozzle body. This
may be performed as regular maintenance as often as
wanted. Do not use grease.
Perform continuity test. See testing instructions.

Inspeccione visualmente los aisladores, el rótulo de la manguera y
las etiquetas de advertencia. Si están ilegibles, muy gastadas o
maltratadas, reemplácelas.
INSPECCIONES MENSUALES
Inspeccione el tubo de descarga de la pistola surtidora para
controlar que no esté deformado ni gastado. El diámetro de la
punta del tubo debe ser menor de 0.84 pulgadas para
combustibles sin plomo. Reemplace el montaje del tubo de
descarga según sea necesario.
Si el tubo de descarga de la pistola está doblado, el orificio de
cierre está bloqueado, o el extremo del tubo está enroscado, se
debe reemplazar inmediatamente el tubo de descarga de la
pistola o toda la pistola. No hacerlo podría provocar derrames
peligrosos.

Reemplace el tubo de descarga si la punta está gastada. No la
corte. Esto podría provocar cierres molestos, o problemas en el
cierre, y provocar derrames peligrosos y lesiones o incluso la
muerte.

Si el sistema lo requiere, inspeccione el dispositivo colector (si se
suministra uno con la pistola) para controlar que no tenga cortes
ni rasgaduras. Reemplace si un tercio de la circunferencia del
dispositivo falta o está rasgado.
Inspeccione la pistola para controlar que no tenga pérdidas; de
tenerlas, reemplácela si es necesario.
Controle que la medida de caudal mínima sea de 3 GPM.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
• Before beginning installation of the product, please
carefully read all warnings.
(See Figure 13)
• Follow all manufacturers’ instructions.
• Use safety cones to mark-off work area.
• Shut off power to the dispenser and close the
emergency shut-off valves under the dispenser.
Relieve system pressure before servicing or replacing
dispensing products, such as nozzles, swivels, or
breakaways. (NFPA 30A 6.3.6) (2003 Revision)
• If nozzle replacement, secure retractor cable clamp
with screw driver (if applicable).
• If nozzle replacement, remove old nozzle with a
wrench. Carefully drain fuel from hose & nozzle
into approved container.
