1.6 OHM
When switching on, press the FAST button and the ON / OFF button simultaneously for approx. 3 seconds.
The base unit Ohm is shown with an O in the lower right corner of the display. When switching on again, Ohm
is deactivated.
1.7 AUTO-OFF-function

Press (ESC/AUTO-OFF) key once. On the display appears
EAoF
. Now the Auto-Off-function is activated.
The instrument switches off automatically after 10 minutes.
Note:
The setting is saved.
1.8 TARA-function (ZERO-Taste F1)
The Instrument has a special Tare/Zero-button. Pressing the (F1) key once, the instrument
will subtract the last measured value from the actual measured value. So if the measurement
does not change zero appears on the instrument’s display. If you press the (F1) key once again the instru
-
ment move to the Normal-Mode.
E.g. Display with activated Zero-Mode:
The arrow on the left indicates that the instrument is working in the Zero-Mode (F1).

This setting is deactivated when the device is switched off.

2. Power supply
- For the power supply of the instrument a 9 Volt dry battery is used.
- The empty battery symbol in the display indicates that the battery needs to be exchanged.
The instrument allows app. 2 hour of further operation.
- The battery symbol indicates according to the battery status between 1 to 3 segments.
- Beside the 9 volt block battery the P755-LOG-EX instrument disposes a second
battery (CR2032). This is the buffer battery for the internal real time clock.
The battery life time is appr. 4 years, it doesn’t matter whether the instrument has been
used or not. For the battery exchange (only outside the Ex area) the 4 screws of the
housing (rear side) has to be removed. Now the housing can be opened. Now change the
battery on the main board. Afterwards remount the housing again. See picture below:
Battery changing
The exchange of this maintenance element may only be carried out outside of the hazardous area. Take
care and ensure that when changing the battery, that only those in the listed operating instructions are used.
The use of any other type of battery is strictly forbidden in that it will invalidate the Ex-data certification.
In order to open the battery compartment first remove the screw of the battery case. After exchanging the
battery, refit and tighten the screw of the battery case in order to use the equipment in the hazardous area.
Attention:
By closing the battery compartment please be attend not to damage the battery cable.
3. Error codes
By displaying the following error codes the instrument support the operation of the instrument:

Attention:
Defective or empty batteries can cause measurement errors or error messages. On error
messages, remove battery (outside the Ex area) and wait 3 minutes prior to mounting a new battery.
