Installation
PRECAUTIONS
1 - GENERAL REMARKS
- When connecting a DOSATRON
either to the public water supply or
to its own water source, you must
respect the regulations in force
concerning protection of the source
i.e. backflow prevention, etc.
- When connecting the DOSATRON
to the water supply, ensure that the
water flows in the direction of the
arrows on the unit.
- In a case where the water
installation is higher than the
DOSATRON itself, there is
a possible risk of water and
concentrate flowing back through the
DOSATRON. In this case, installing
a non-return valve downstream is
recommended.
- It is recommended that you should
place an anti-siphon valve on the
downstream side of the dosing pump
in installations in which there is a
risk of siphoning.
- Do not install the DOSATRON just
above an acid container, (risk of acid
fumes attacking the DOSATRON)
and protect it from possible contact
with corrosive products.
- Protect the DOSATRON from
freezing temperatures by draining
it and store it away from sources of
excessive heat.
- Do not install the DOSATRON on
the suction side of the supply pump
(risk of siphoning).
IMPORTANT ! Use no tools or
metallic utensils.
- During any intervention the
operator must stay in front of the
DOSATRON and wear protective
Do not use electrical tools and tools which could potentially generate
mechanical sparks when unpacking and installing the dosing unit.
The injector shall not be unpacked in an ATEX zone. The operator shall
be equipped as per the applicable protocols. The equipment installation
shall be carried out according to the best practises defined in the
European norme 1999/92/CE.
The injector shall be installed in an ATEX zone in accordance with the
product marking. On this basis, this injector range can be operated in
surface industries (II) or mining industries (I), and installed in ATEX
zones rated zone 2 or 22, zone 1 or 21 and zone 0 or 20 (equipment
category 1). It is suitable for explosive atmospheres caused by gases or
dust (GD). The use
of the D8 product range protects from the risks linked to all gases with a
Minimum Ignition Energy greater than 240 μJ (IIA), and an Auto-Ignition
Temperature from 85°C (T6 T85). In addition its use protects from risks
linked to all dust sizes (IIIC).
