charging anD loaDing the li ion 
battery

First remove the Li-Ion battery. Unlatch 
the battery by pressing the two lateral 
buttons simultaneously. Now lift the 
battery upwards.

Connect the charger to the battery and to mains supply. The charger will indicate the charging status. A red LED glows during 
charging process. Once the battery is fully charged, a green LED will glow. Now you can insert the battery into the fl ash housing. 
It will click closed, once in correct position.

DisPlay oF charging status

When the fl ash unit is switched on, fi ve LEDs will indicate the battery status. If all 
fi ve LEDs glow, the battery is charged at 100%. Each LED represents a capacity 
of approx. 20%. If only one LED glows (status 20%), we recommend to charge or 
replace the battery.

rePlacement battery

We recommend purchasing a replacement Li-Ion battery, item no. 371321 for your mobile studio fl ash DMF-480. 
So you will not run out of energy “on location”.

mounting the Flash unit

The 

integrated handle

 is comfortable to hold and allows an assistant to align the fl ash.

B. To adjust the 

tilt angle of the fl ash

  release the „Lock“ screw. Set the 
  desired tilt angle and tighten the 
  screw again (Figure 3).

C. Additionally, the handle has an  
  umbrella holder. Before mounting an 
  umbrella remove the fl ash refl ector 
  fi rst. Then slide the umbrella rod 
  through the opening and tighten the
  mounting screw (Figure 4).

A. You will fi nd an 

integrated mount for 

  light stands

 in the handle. To mount 

  the fl ash onto a light stand, release 
  the mounting screw on the bottom 
  of the handle (Figure 1). Now the 
  fl ash can be placed onto the light 
  stand. For secure hold screw in the 
  mounting screw into the thread on 
  rear side of the handle (Figure 2).
