The Answering Machine (130R)
Switching the Answering Machine On/Off
1.

2. The total number of (new) recorded ICM’s will now be announced (if any), listen
to them or press
C C
to get to the menu for answering machine.
3. Scroll

to ANS MODE. Press OK .

to the required setting (ON/OFF). Press

to save.

to exit the Menu system.
Please note! That even when turned off, the Answering Machine will answer a call after 16 Rings.
This is to allow the remote features to be accessed.”
Number of Rings
The number of rings before the answering machine answers can be selected between
2, 3, 4, 5, 6 or ECONOMY.

Please note:
With ECONOMY selected, calls will be answered after six rings until a new ICM message has
been recorded, any subsequent calls will be answered after two rings. Once these ICM’s have been
erased this cycle will be repeated. This is useful when remote accessing your unit, if there is no answer
after four rings no ICM messages have been recorded, you can therefore terminate the call before you
are charged.
