OTHER CONTROLS
Variable Vise Pressure Controls
1.
The two
Variable Vise Pressure
control valves
(positioned to the right of the electrical control panel)
are used to adjust vise clamping force against
materials which cannot tolerate full vise clamping
pressure (examples are thin-walled tubing, pipe,
light structurals, etc.). This control can be used
with or without the optional Nesting Fixture.
•
Clamping pressure is set with the
Index Vise
and
Fixed Vise
knobs until the desired pressure is shown
by the indicator gauges. Turn each knob
clockwise
to "increase" pressure;
counterclockwise
to
"decrease" pressure.

Other Controls
1.
Disconnect Switches.
These switches turn the
electrical power "ON" and "OFF" to the machine.
2.
Coolant.
Coolant flow to the saw guides is initiated
and controlled by a valve on each saw guide arm.
A flushing nozzle can be used to wash away chips
and debris from the cutting area.
3.
Sensing Arm.
The material height sensor can be
locked in the “up” position when it is necessary
to make machine adjustments. This is done by
tightening the thumbscrew against the slide bar.
