7. OPERATION OF HAMMER DRILL

Before operation

At first make sure that there is no any enclosed electric wiring, gas- or water pipelines at

place of works. The power supply should comply with the hammer drill technical data. The
power cord and plug should be in working order.

Auxiliary handle

Use of tool without auxiliary handle is prohibited (3). Always hold the machine with

two hands. To provide suitable position of handle you shall loosen it, turn its lower part
counterclockwise, adjust and fix work position of the handle turning the auxiliary handle (3)
in the clockwise direction.

Switching ON/OFF

The tool is switched on by pressing the power button (6). Release the power button (6)

to stop the tool operation. For continuous operation, press the switch (6) and then (while
holding the switch in this position) press the lock button (7). If you want to stop continuous
operation of the tool, press the power button (6) again and release it.

Speed control / rotation direction switch

The deeper you press the power button (6), the faster chuck rotates (higher hammer

drill impact rate).

The rotation direction is changed with a switch (5).

You can change the rotation direction only after motor has completely stopped.

Drill bit replacement (SDS-plus)

With hammer drill of this model, recommended is the use of accessories with SDS-plus

type shank. Works with other types are not recommended.  Use other shank types may
result in breakdown of the machine or injury of operator or other persons.

Work tools with shank of SDS-plus standard move freely in the chuck due to structural

features of the SDS-plus standard chucks, resulting in radial runout in idle mode. This has
no any effect on drilling accuracy, because drill (point chisel, chisel) is centred automatically.

Drills, picks, chisels, bore bits (headers) with SDS-plus shank are fitted to SDS-plus chuck

and used for drilling without or with hammer action, grooving, splitting and loosening the
material, as well as screwing the fasteners.

Drill bit fitting

Insert the bore bit (2) into the tool chuck (1) till stop, and turn the bore bit in any direction

while pressing it up to a specific click is heard. Drill bit shank is automatically locked in
necessary position. Pull the bore bit to check its reliable fixation.

When installing bore bits and other replaceable accessories, first of all, it is necessary to

clean the shank (wipe dry with clean cloth), and then apply a small amount (0.5-1 g) of grease
for bore bits or similar lubricant (e.g. Litol-24).
