signal defined for it. For an impressive acoustic experience, this is the first prerequisite!
Besides, using this function on your 5.1 channel amplifier, you can individually set the
speaker for each channel.
Tip
: Speakers that were set to “not present” in the audio set up initially cannot be selected
here.
Centre / Surr Delay
Using this menu option, you can carry out the delay settings for the signals of the centre and
rear speakers according to the specified distance. This simulates a larger distance between
the speakers and the audience and gives the acoustic effect of a larger room. This can make
the sound effect more efficient.
Digital Output
Using this menu option you can set the digital audio signals of the S/PDIF output (coaxial)
according to your audio system.
—
Off:
The coaxial output is deactivated.
—
PCM
: Select this setting if you want to access the stereo signals in the coaxial output.
—
All
: When you select this setting, the coaxial output is set to the original sound effect of
the DVD with the Dolby Digital AC3 information.
Night Mode
When you scroll down the column on the right with the
6
button, you can access other
buttons.
Here you can set the sound dynamics. “Dynamics” means the speaker output difference
between maximum and minimum sound, i.e. the difference between explosions and
whispering. If you have sensitive neighbours or like to watch action films in the night, set
this function to “OFF” to compress the dynamics.
Down Sampling
Normally, the sampling rate of the digital output signal is about 96 kHz (= Off). If your A/V
amplifier cannot process such high levels, activate the Down sampling (= On) function to
decrease the sampling rate to 44.1 kHz.
Rating Setup
Using these functions, you can prevent those DVDs
from being played which are not suitable for
children. However, a requirement is that the DVD is
encoded correct.
At first, go to the right column using the
4
button
and go to the top most entry and press ENTER. Now
enter a password to authorize the child protection.
The default factory setting of this password is
“8888". Enter a number and press ENTER. Now you
can recall the classification with the ENTER button.
