Important Notes
: - All cables shown or mentioned here are not supplied with
your DVD player. You’ll find them at your local TV shop.

making
any connections. This will protect your speakers from
possible damage.
The video connection
This diagram shows you the possible audio and video connections offered by your DVD
player. It is, of course, sufficient to establish only one of the displayed video connections.
Your choice would depend on the connections available on your TV and the existing audio
devices.
The video and S-video connections transmit only the picture information and hence, the
additional sound connection to the TV is essential. This is not the case with the SCART
connection as this transmits both picture and sound together via one cable.
If you wish to connect the DVD player to a TV which has a video colour component input, we
recommend using the Y, Pb/Cb and Pr/Cr jacks. If the TV offers the display option of the
color component input in the progressive scan function, activate this option in the DVD
player setup (more details later).
