measurement of arterial blood oxygen saturation
as well as the pulse rate and pulse intensity on a
human finger. The oxygen saturation determined
in this way is referred to as SpO2 (saturation of
peripheral oxygen) and specifies the content of
haemoglobin saturated with oxygen in percent.
