Connecting to the Remote TVs (TV1 or TV2)
Chapter 12
•
If you have at least some picture on your TVs, turn on all remote TVs connected to the
cabling system. Disconnect and reconnect each cable one-by-one, observing what
happens to the picture on the TVs. When all the remote TVs lose the signal, you have
disconnected the receiver’s cable. If only some or one TV loses the video signal, then
you have disconnected a cable from the TVs.
•
If the above step does not work, disconnect one of the output cables and connect to
the splitter input. If you do not see a picture, connect the cable back to its output.
Repeat this step for every connection until you get a picture on all the remote TV(s).
21
Reconnect the receiver’s cable to the input of the splitter.
22
Make sure you have a good picture displayed on your remote TV(s).
23
If desired to remind you of which TV channel your satellite programming is on, write the
channel number you wrote in step 5 on a blank channel sticker and place it on or near
your remote TV(s). The stickers are inside the front cover of this guide.
24
Confirm that Remote Control 2 (or a replacement remote control with a UHF Pro key
installed in it, sold separately) controls your receiver from the location of your remote
TV(s). See page 75 for more information and instructions.
25
Program the Remote Control 2’s (or Remote Control 1 with a UHF Pro key installed, sold
separately) RECOVER button to the channel that you wrote down in step 5. See page 93
for more information and instructions.
