10 Electrical System
(1) Construction
1) Overview
The electrical system consists of a power supply section, a main control section, a subcontrol
section, and an attachment section. These sections are further divided into subsections as
described below.

Power Supply Section
The M/C main body has a 3 -phase, 200V (5kVA) power supply. As shown in the AC power
distribution diagram in section (2)-1), 3 -phase, 200 V power and 1 -phase, 100 V power are
supplied to all units via the distribution terminal.
In each unit, DC stabilized power supplies are derived from the supplied AC power.

Main Control Section
The main control section is divided into a 68000 CPU control RACK unit, a monitor synthesis
unit, a hard disk unit, a floppy disk unit, an ALU unit, a focus motor driver, a setup interface,
and regulated DC power supplies for all units.

Sub-control Section
The sub control section of the DFD-2S/8 or DFD-2D/8 consists of control boards for the
two-axis AC servo motor and three-axis stepping motor or five-axis stepping motor, and
driver power supplies for these axes, respectively.

Attachment Section
This section consists of a main operation panel, a monitor, a CCD camera, a fiber light source,
a feedback unit, an axis center sensor, an inverter, a signal tower, positioning sensors,
solenoid driver units and a blade breakage detector (DFD-2D/8) (the optional a blade
breakage detector (DFD-2S/8) transformer box unit and emergency power unit may be
added).
