Module programming
Refer to "LED diagnostics and troubleshooting" on page 45 for more information and for troubleshooting purposes.
The HKHT1 firmware has several vehicle connection options available. It is important to choose the programming method
associated with your specific installation solution in order to complete successfully the programming of your module.
Method 1 -
With
HS CAN & FT CAN connections &
with
transponder immobilizer.
*There are four Module programming possibilities, please review all methods to determine which one corresponds to your specific
vehicle.
To connect the module:

Please
ensure
that the vehicle is in a safe location and cannot move forward during
programming. For vehicles equipped with a manual transmission, make sure the gearshift
lever is in the neutral position.

Connect
all the harnesses to the Directed Digital Solutions,
EXCEPT
the 12-pin main power
harness.
Connect all but the
12-pin harness

Connect
the 12-pin main power harness, and wait until the LED turns ON solid red.

The LED starts flashing orange quickly.
(If the LED is still solid red, press Unlock on the OEM remote.)
Insert
and
turn
the key to the ON position. The LED starts flashing green quickly.

The LED flashes orange slowly to indicate the bypass is being programmed.
Note:
After 2 minutes, if the unit has not programmed, the LED will start flashing green for
another 2 minutes (maximum).

DATA Tach: Firmware using DATA Tach, the tachometer is preprogrammed for the vehicle
and no further action is required. For instructions on how to adjust the tach or use Virtual
tach, refer to page 48.
Hardwire Tach: Firmware using the Violet/White Hardwired Tach input will require
programming. For instructions on how to program or adjust the tach or use Virtual tach, refer
to page 48.
