1.1 Important information

ATTENTION!

The device is not suitable for operation with a frequency converter.

ATTENTION!

The hydraulic tower and transport pallet are only connected by the
packing film.

ATTENTION!

Never use cleaning agents containing sand, soda, acid or chloride as
these can damage the surfaces.

ATTENTION !

Before opening the device, ensure that all circuits are isolated from the
power supply.

ATTENTION!

Any work on the system may only be performed by authorised and
qualified after-sales service technicians.

The operational reliability of the safety valve should be checked
at regular intervals. We recommend having an annual service in-
spection carried out by a qualified specialist company.
The drainage of the safety valve should visibly flow into a waster
water drain.
The installer of the heating system is responsible for checking
whether an additional expansion vessel is required.
Smart operation provides significant energy savings. The heating
water temperature should be as low as required during heat
pump operation. The planner of the heating system is responsi-
ble for the definition of the system temperature.
When installing an underfloor heating system, a sensible value
for the max. flow and return temperature should be set in the heat
pump controller. The position of the temperature sensor is impor-
tant in this regard.

1.2 Legal Regulations and

Directives

The construction and design of the hydraulic tower complies with
all relevant EU directives, DIN and VDE regulations (see CE de-
claration of conformity).
When connecting the hydraulic tower to the power supply, the
relevant VDE, EN and IEC standards are to be fulfilled. Any fur-
ther connection requirements stipulated by the network opera-
tors must also be observed.
When connecting the heating system, all applicable regulations
must also be adhered to.
Persons, especially children, who are not capable of operating
the device safely due to their physical, sensory or mental abilities
or their inexperience or lack of knowledge, must not operate this
device without supervision or instruction by the person in charge.
Children must be supervised to ensure that they do not play with
the device.

2 Intended use of the

hydraulic tower

2.1 Application

The hydraulic tower constitutes the interface between a non-re-
versible air-to-water heat pump set up outside and the heating
system in the building. The HPK200S contains all hydraulic com-
ponents required between heat generation and heat distribution
with an unmixed heating circuit. A mixed heating circuit in time-
saving modular design can be subsequently integrated as an ex-
tension. A dual differential pressureless manifold with a buffer
tank yields an energetically optimal hydraulic integration of the
heat generator and the heat consumers. The required heat pump
manager is included. There is the option to combine the
HPK200S with a tank (identical design) to heat domestic hot wa-
ter.

ATTENTION!

The device is not suitable for operation with a frequency converter.

2.2 General properties

„

Low installation effort

„

Easy accessibility of all components

„

No lateral minimum distance required

„

Ready-to-connect, contains all essential components via
pumps, shut-offs, safety technology and heat pump control-
ler

„

Combination of panel heating and radiator heating possible
(special accessories required)

„

Integrated buffer storage reduces contact cycles of the heat
pump - this increases the efficiency of the system

„

The infinitely adjustable operation of the circulating pump in
the heating circuit permits demand-dependent output adjust-
ment.

2.3 Expansion options

„

Optional mixed heating circuit incl. controlled circulating
pump (infinitely adjustable or 3 stages), shut-offs and back-
pressure feature.

„

optional immersion heater up to 6 kW

„

Optional hot water charge circuit, shut-offs and pump
adapter included

The flow direction must be borne in
mind when installing the hot water
heat pump.
Circulation must take place from
bottom to top. The fitter is perso-
nally responsible for carrying out
the electrical connection and the
alignment of the motor block.
Ball valves must be opened after in-
stallation.
