8 Faults/Error-tracking/Maintenance
ACHTUNG!
The storage heaters must be repaired by qualified
installers. Improper repairs may result in considerable
risks for the user!
NOTE
The devices are fitted with high quality thermal
insulation. The core space cover, with its integrated
insulation, should only be removed when a storage
heater is being replaced. All other electrical elements/
components can be accessed by removing the side
panel.
8.1 Maintenance
We recommend you regularly vacuum clean around the heat-
er's ventilation grille.
You should also check the controls and regulators at regular
intervals to see if they are functioning correctly. This check
should be performed every 10 years (at the very least) to pre-
vent unnecessary energy consumption.
8.2 Rectifying Minor Problems
Room too cold
• Check the storage heater fuses in the wiring distribution
unit and switch them on again, or replace them if neces-
sary.
• Input charge set too low. Adjust the setting.
• Room temperature controller set incorrectly. Adjust the
setting.
• Ventilator in the storage heater does not run. Check the
fuse in the wiring distribution unit and switch it on again, or
replace it if necessary.
• Either the windows and doors are kept open or neighbour-
ing rooms are not heated, although it was assumed they
would be heated when the dimensions for setting the tem-
peratures were calculated. No fault is present.
• When the storage heater operates with a charge control
system:
Central charge control system set incorrectly.
Adjust in accordance with charge control system instruc-
tion manual.
• Charge controller not set to maximum input. Adjust the set-
ting.
Room too warm
• Check the charge control system fuse in the wiring distri-
bution unit and switch it on again, or replace it, if neces-
sary.
• Storage heater's charge intensity control setting too high.
Adjust the setting.
• Room temperature controller set incorrectly: Adjust the
setting.
• Central charge control system set incorrectly:
Adjust in accordance with charge control system instruc-
tion manual
If you cannot resolve the fault yourself, please contact a qual-
ified electrician or get in touch with your nearest Customer
Services Department.
Before doing this, please ensure you have made a note of the
heater type (A), model number (B) and manufacturer's date
code (FD). You will find these details on the type plate, on the
right-hand side panel. See Fig. 32
