running. Pay special attention to the polarity of the wires for the TBUSS.
Connecting them one at a time makes it much easier to identify potential
issues then if the entire loop was connected and tested at once.
f. Connect Q-Node to System 3505 –
Program all of the Node and IDM
information into the System 3505. Confirm that the two systems are
communicating properly.
g. Final Test each IDM in field one at a time - and confirm proper data
shows up on the System 3505. Also make sure the correct IDM type is
selected for each of the IDMs installed. If the IDM is an Input type be sure
to trip the device the IDM is connected to. If the IDM is an output type,
activate each output including the device the output is connected to.
h. Perform the same steps for each additional Q-Node – Repeat the steps
above for any additional Q-Nodes that will be connected to the System 3505.
Performing the startup in an orderly manner should simplify any problems that may occur.
