Port Configuration
3-123
3
CLI
– The following example enables LACP for ports 1 to 6. Just connect these ports
to LACP-enabled trunk ports on another switch to form a trunk.
Configuring Parameters for LACP Group Members
Dynamically Creating a Port Channel –
Ports assigned to a common port channel must meet the following criteria:
• Ports must have the same LACP System Priority.
• Ports must have the same LACP port Admin Key.
• However, if the “port channel” Admin Key is set (
), then the port Admin
Key must be set to the same value for a port to be allowed to join a channel group.
Note
– If the port channel admin key (lacp admin key, page 4-185) is not set (through
the CLI) when a channel group is formed (i.e., it has a null value of 0), this key is set to
the same value as the port admin key used by the interfaces that joined the group (lacp
admin key, as described in this section and on page 4-184).
Command Attributes

this switch.
•

•
System Priority
– LACP system priority is used to determine link aggregation

negotiations. (Range: 0-65535; Default: 32768)
- Ports must be configured with the same system priority to join the same LAG.
