13. Refreshing and discovering devices
Refresh may be necessary if Digidim or DALI devices are added or removed without re-powering TouchPanel. You can
do this by using the Refresh Devices feature. TouchPanel looks for new and existing devices, and then updates the list of
devices that you can see in the Loads and Controls menus. If it cannot find a device (such as when a device is switched off
or removed), then those devices will be listed in GREY in the Loads menu, or with “!” in the Controls menu. These can be
deleted if required.
To learn how to delete a device, see section 5.8 (loads) or 7.9 (controls).
13.1 Refresh devices manually
1. From Main Menu select the following:

to display the Options menu.

to display the More Options menu.

to display the Device Refresh screen.

to start the device refresh.
6. A summary is displayed when Device Refresh completes.

repeatedly to return to the desired screen or menu. This can be done even before device refresh has completed,
allowing the refresh process to continue in the background.
The time taken to refresh depends on the number of new devices to be found in the lighting system.
On larger systems, refresh may take up to 20 minutes to complete.
