Fader Utilities
Fader Calibration
Use this routine to return the motorized, touch-
sensitive faders to their factory calibration set-
ting.
To reset the faders:

Press the F1 Utility switch to enter Utility
mode.

Press the Channel Select switch that corre-
sponds to Fader.

Press the Channel Select switch that corre-
sponds to Fadcal.
Do not touch the faders, as the fader routine be-
gins immediately and moves the faders through
their range of travel. The lower row of the LCD
shows fader resolution while the test is in pro-
cess.
Faders park at the bottom of the fader paths
when recalibration is complete.

Press the Channel Select switch that corre-
sponds to Exit.

Press the F1 Utility switch to exit Utility mode.
Fader Test
Use this test to troubleshoot the mechanical el-
ements of the Command|8 faders.
To test fader resolution:

Press F1 Utility, if necessary, to enter Utility
mode.

Press the Channel Select switch that corre-
sponds to Fader.

Press the Channel Select switch that corre-
sponds to FadTst. Do not touch the faders.

Press the Select switch on Channel 8 to stop
the test.

Press the F1 Utility switch to exit Utility mode.
Group Test
Use this test to compare performance of each
Command|8 fader as both a group master and
slave.
To test fader group resolution:

Press the F1 Utility switch to enter Utility
mode.

Press the Channel Select switch that corre-
sponds to Fader.

Press the Channel Select switch that corre-
sponds to Group.

Select Group by pressing the channel 3 Select
switch.

One by one, touch and move each fader. The
other seven faders follow, and the LCD displays
resolution for each fader as they move through
their range.

Press the Channel Select switch that corre-
sponds to Exit.

Press the F1 Utility switch to exit Utility mode.
