field must respect the 128-bit hexadecimal format (HEX 128 bit): each pair of characters you type is
interpreted as an eight-bit value in hexadecimal (base 16) notation. Only the digits 0 through 9 and the
letters A through F (in upper or lower case) are valid. To setup an 128-bit WEP key, input 26 HEX
format. For example, ‘31323334353637383930313233’, which is the same with ASCII input
‘1234567890123’.
WARNING: the Vega Video is supplied with an enabled WEP encryption and a
preconfigured encryption key. This factory setting allows to install the Vega Wireless
Camera WLAN and Digicom’s Vega Video image concentrator in a few minutes. To
change the key you only need to enter a new value in the EncryptKey field and then click
SAVE.
For a greater data security, Digicom has decided not to divulge the default encryption
key value.
