SWING CONTROL SYSTEM
DESCRIPTION: The SCS consists of 3 cylinders. 1 X Aft dampener or main cylinder and 2 X interconnecting Hood cylinders. These cylinders are
grease filled and are not pressurised. They can be topped up with grease whenever required.
GREASE TYPE: VALVOLINE C-00-EP ( Semi Fluid Grease ) or equivalent.
Hood cylinders are recharged in place follow #5 in “Installation of Hood Cylinders” however the Aft Dampener must be removed from the frame.
The Hood Cylinders are field serviceable. The Aft Dampener is partially field serviceable.
REMOVAL OF HOOD CYLINDERS:
1) Using a suitable lifting device lift the entire attachment and place the drive unit in a stable and secure stand.
2) Remove the cradle or frame assembly from the drive unit by removing the hood to linkage assembly pin.
3) Remove 4 X cylinder retaining bolts and lift up both cylinders. Undo interconnecting pipe from cylinders and remove components from hood.
