3.2.5 DEFECTIVE ENGINE CONTROLS

Defective Mixture Control Cable

(a) Flight and Landing:

Maintain altitude to the nearest airfield.

During descent, test the reaction of the engine to a higher power setting. A

lean mixture can lead to engine roughness and a loss of power. The

landing approach must be planned accordingly.

WARNING

Go-around may become impossible with the remaining power.
