Cabling the BorderNet 4000 SBC
This section shows how to cable the BorderNet SBC 4000 in two configurations:
•
Standalone
•
High Availability (HA)
Cables
In either configuration, the cables can be either of the following:
•
RJ-45 Ethernet cable – Category 5 (CAT 5) or better.
•
LC-OLC-DPLX (optical) – Multi-mode fiber LC duplex connector style.

Standalone Configuration
The following diagram shows the cabling for a standalone configuration. For ease of viewing,
the diagram below shows only one session interface connected to the session network;
however, all other session interfaces may be connected per the session network needs.
Note: HA interfaces are not used nor required for a standalone configuration.
