Redeploying the BorderNet 4000
Redeploy the BorderNet 4000 SBC when you want to change the basic system configuration
such as:
•
System management IP address
•
HA link IP address
•
Utility IP address
You need to redeploy the system to convert a standalone to an HA system and vice versa.
Guidelines
Follow the guidelines below when redeploying a system:
•
The redeployment screen can only be accessed from the system management GUI
(using the System Management IP address). You have to have sysmanager
privileges to perform a redeployment. It does not affect the system configuration
data (provisioning data).
•
In HA configurations, existing data on the chosen primary platform is retained.
•
In HA configurations, both the primary and secondary platform have to be
redeployed.
•
In HA configurations, redeploy the primary platform before the secondary platform.
•
In HA configurations, the primary platform must be running and connected to
secondary platform when you redeploy the secondary platform.
Caution: The platform being redeployed has to be restarted which could affect traffic. If
these are live system, make sure redeployment is done during a maintenance window.
Procedure
The procedure below provides an example of a redeployment.
1.
From System menu, select Deployment under Administration.
