DHOLLANDIA
WARNING
Make sure that the ramp is fit for purpose and the loading / unloading can proceed in optimum safety for all parties concerned.
Consider the maximum rated capacity of the ramp, the ramp angle, the propulsion (or lack of self-propulsion) of the object to
be handled, the possible slipperiness of the platform and the physical ability of the operator. See also 7.4 on page 19 and 7.5
on page 21. Failure to abide by these instructions can result in serious bodily injury or death to the operator or bystanders.
Prior to operating the ramp, the vehicle must be safely parked on flat, not yielding, slippery or uneven ground, have the parking
brake applied, and the engine switched off. To avoid distortion of the platform, make sure both corners of the outboard platform
edge are in firm contact with the ground. Failure to abide by these instructions can result in structural platform damage initially
and to serious bodily injury as a consequence.
Apply the parking brake and the switch off the engine. Open any doors located in front of the ramp and secure any moving
parts of the vehicle body. Failure to abide by these instructions can result in serious bodily injury or death to the operator or
bystanders.
Prior to deploying the platform, check if the ramp can be used safely. Take precautions to ensure your own safety, and the
safety of bystanders or other parties in traffic. Clear the working area of any objects that could potentially impede movement
of the ramp. Failure to abide by these instructions can result in serious bodily injury or death to the operator or bystanders.
To reduce the risk of serious bodily injury or death which may result from other vehicles when parked, ALWAYS make sure a
safety distance of 16 ft or 5 m is kept between the back of the vehicle and the following vehicle.
