When using a cable reel, always unwind the cable

ASSEMBLY AND ADJUSTMENTS
WARNING:
Prior to assembly and
adjustment, always remove the battery
pack. Always switch off the tool before
inserting or removing the battery pack.

Inserting and Removing the
Battery Pack from the Tool (fi g. 2)
WARNING: To reduce the risk of

making any adjustments or removing/

An accidental start-up can cause injury.
TO INSTALL THE BATTERY PACK INTO THE TOOL HANDLE
1. Align the base of the tool with the notch inside
the tool’s handle (fig. 2).
2. Slide the battery pack firmly into the handle until
you hear the lock snap into place.
TO REMOVE THE BATTERY PACK FROM THE TOOL
1. Press the release buttons (f) and firmly pull the
battery pack out of the tool handle.
2. Insert battery pack into the charger as
described in the charger section of this manual.
Removing and Assembling the Shear
Head and Cutter Blade Assembly
(fi g. 4, 5)
REMOVING THE SHEAR HEAD FROM THE TOOL
1. Loosen the cap screws (i) using the hex key (d).
2. Pull the shear head (c) forward. If necessary,
slightly twist the head while pulling.
REMOVING THE CUTTER ASSEMBLY FROM THE
SHEAR HEAD
1. Remove the cap screws (i) from the shear head
(c). Do not misplace the spacer bushings (n).
2. Remove the middle cutter blade (o) by tapping
it gently to the rear. The left blade (p) and the
spacer blade (m) will now drop from the shear
head.
REMOVING THE ECCENTRIC BEARING ASSEMBLY
1. Loosen the eccentric nut (j).
2. Remove the eccentric disc (k) and the washer (l)
from the spindle.
ASSEMBLING THE ECCENTRIC BEARING ASSEMBLY
1. Place the washer (l) onto the spindle.
2. Place the eccentric disc (k) and nut (j) onto the
spindle.
3. Tighten the eccentric nut (j).
4. Lubricate the bearing assembly using a good
grade of bearing grease.
MOUNTING THE CUTTER ASSEMBLY IN THE SHEAR HEAD
1. Place the left blade (p) and the spacer blade (m)
into position in the shear head (c).
2. Insert the centre cap screw (i) through the left
blade.
3. Place a spacer bushing (n) between the blades
and onto the cap screw. Insert the end of the
cap screw into the spacer blade. Do not tighten.
4. Insert a spacer bushing (n) into the hole in the
centre blade (o) and lubricate.
5. Insert the centre blade (o) between the blades in
the shear head.
6. Line up the front hole in the centre blade with
the front hole in the shear head.
7. Insert a cap screw (i) into the front hole and
tighten the screw.
8. Apply a good grade of bearing grease onto the
centre blade where it will touch the eccentric
bearing assembly.
9. Insert a cap screw (i) into the rear hole. Do not
fully tighten.
MOUNTING THE SHEAR HEAD ON THE TOOL
1. Make sure that all cap screws (i) are loosened a
few turns.
2. Place the shear head onto the tool. Lightly tap if
necessary.
3. Alternately tighten the cap screws (i).
Adjusting the Cutter Blades (fi g. 5, 6)
Depending on the workpiece material, the curl of
waste material may hit the shear head or workpiece
while cutting. If adjustment is necessary:
1. Loosen the cap screws (i) and tap the left blade
(p) forward or backward.
2. Tighten the cap screws (i).
3. Check and repeat as necessary.
