CAUTION: After installa-
tion and periodically thereafter,
check to ensure that no flame
comes in contact with any log.
With heater set to Hi, check to
see if flames contact any log. If
so, reposition logs according to
log installation instructions in
this manual. Flames contacting
logs will create soot.
VGC and EC Model Series
It is very important to install these logs exactly
as instructed. Do not modify logs. Only use
logs supplied with heater.
1. Place rear log (#1) on base assembly as
shown in Figure 23. Log will fit over right end
of burner and rest in middle of U-burner.
2. Place middle log (#2) in front of U-burner
and against the edges of plate as shown
in Figure 24.
3. Place front left log (#3) onto pan burner
between log #2 and grate.
Back of log
#3 should fit against front of log #2.
Place front right log (#4) onto pan burner
between log #2 and grate. Logs #3 and #4
have notched ends to fit over end of pan
burner as shown in Figure 25.
Back of log
#4 should fit against front of log #2.
4. Place right crossover log (#)5 as shown
in Figure 26. Match round peg on top of
rear log (#1) with round hole on bottom of
right crossover log (#5) and square peg
on top of middle log (#2) with square hole
on bottom of crossover log (#5).
