5. Place left crossover log (#6) onto rear log
(#1) and middle log (#2). Match round peg
on top of rear log (#1) with round hole
on bottom of left crossover log (#6) and
square peg on top of middle log (#2) with
square hole on bottom of left crossover log
(#6) as shown in Figure 26, page 18.
6. Two ember materials are supplied with
this log set.
Use only one type ember
material.
Platinum Bright Embers give
a bright glow appearing as hot coals.
Ceramat embers give a flickering glow
appearing as a dying ember bed.
Follow instructions for the ember material
you choose. Should embers need replac-
ing, see
Parts
, page 33.
WARNING: Use only one type
ember material. Do not mix.
Platinum Bright Ember placement.
Add
embers to front, flat burner. Gently remove
embers from bag. Separate pieces of
ember material and place on surface of
flat burner just behind horizontal ports as
shown in Figure 27.
Ceramat Ember placement.
Add embers
to front flat burner. Gently remove embers
from bag using gloves or tweezers.
(This
material is a skin irritant. Gloves or
tweezers are recommended to prevent
skin irritation).
Separate pieces of em-
ber material and place on surface of flat
burner as shown in Figure 28 overlapping
ember pieces 1/4". Apply four pieces to
front ports and 2 pieces to back ports.
Additional glowing effect can be achieved
by fraying edges of ember material.
WARNING: Do not operate
unit without ember material
correctly in place as shown in
Figures 27 and 28. Do NOT place
ember material anywhere else on
the unit. Use only ember material
supplied with unit. Excessive
or incorrectly placed ember
material may produce carbon
monoxide or soot.
WARNING: Do not use any
other ember material not sup-
plied with this unit.
7. Place rock wool material on front flat
burner in areas away from ports as shown
in Figure 29.
