INSTALLING OPTIONAL ACCESSORIES

OPTIONAL GLASS DOORS

Models

E36L, E32L, VE36L

 and

VE32L

 may accept bi-fold glass

doors that are fully operable or a fixed panel door that limit access

to the fireplace, (see

Accessories

 page

24

).

Installing BD36/32 Series Bi-Fold Glass Doors

Follow these steps to install left and right operable panels:

1.  With the handle down, completely fold the panel on its hinges.

2.  With handle facing the center of the firebox opening, insert the

lower pivot pin on the door panel into the hole in the bottom

outer edge of the fireplace opening. See

Figure 13

3.  Keep the folded door tilted and slide the upper two pins into the

guide track below the upper facial edge of the firebox opening.

4.  Tilt the glass assembly fully vertical until the outer pivot pin

snaps into the mounting hole in the upper spring clip.

5.  Once the top and bottom pins are secured, unfold the door into

the closed position.

6.  Repeat steps 1 through 5 for the opposite door assembly.

7.  To adjust the doors, slide them partially open. Using a Phillips

screwdriver, loosen the hold-down screws on the spring clips

(see

Figure 14

).

8.  Close both doors until evenly joined at the middle and note the

gap as measured to the outer edges of the front face.

9.  Reopen each door one at a time and retighten the hold-down

screw while preserving the noted gap at each edge.

10. Repeat the process until both doors are evenly joined, spaced

and working freely.

Removing Bi-Fold Glass Doors

Bi-fold doors may be removed for replacing or cleaning as follows:

1.  Partially open each door and press up on the upper spring clip

with a screw driver until the outer top pivot pin is free of the

clip.

2.  Fully fold the frame assembly and slide the upper edge towards

the center of the firebox opening until the guide pins are free of

the frame rail (see

Figure 13

).

Installing/Removing FD36/32 Series Fixed Glass Doors

Fixed glass doors may be installed as folows:

1.  Hold the glass door firmly at both handles and insert top pins

into the clips located below the upper facial edge of the firebox

opening. Make sure the top pins snap securely into the holes on

the spring clips (see

Figure 15

).

2. As you push up on the glass against the tension of the

spring clips, swing the lower door in toward the face until

the bottom pins clear the bottom rail and seat into the

locating holes on each end. (see

Figure 13

).

Note:

If the pins do not align into the spring clips, slightly

loosen the retaining screw on each clip (see

Figure 14

).

Reinsert the panel into each spring clip and align the panel

into the lower locating holes. Remove the panel, finish tighten
